About the Color Palette Generator
Creating harmonious color schemes is essential for effective design, whether you're building a website, designing a brand identity, or creating marketing materials. Our Color Palette Generator uses established color theory principles to generate beautiful, balanced palettes from any base color you choose.
The tool offers six different palette types based on the color wheel. Complementary colors sit opposite each other and create high contrast, perfect for making elements pop. Analogous colors are neighbors on the wheel, producing soothing, cohesive designs. Triadic schemes use three equally spaced colors for vibrant yet balanced results.
Split-complementary palettes offer the contrast of complementary colors with less visual tension, using a base color and the two colors adjacent to its complement. Tetradic (or square) schemes use four colors equally spaced around the wheel, providing rich variety. Monochromatic palettes use a single hue with varying lightness levels for elegant simplicity.
Each palette includes five to six colors with variations in lightness to ensure you have options for backgrounds, text, buttons, and accents. The live preview feature shows how your chosen palette looks in a sample UI layout, helping you visualize the final result before implementing it in your project. Click any color to copy its HEX value, or use the Copy All button to grab the entire palette.
